Create Your Mosaic Panel - Tour + Workshop

Just steps away from the main UNESCO World Heritage monuments, in the heart of the historic center, Dimensione Mosaico is an artisan workshop where Elisa and Evelina have been creating mosaics for years, following tradition. In this workshop, the artisans reproduce mosaics using ancient techniques and incorporate their own unique style by combining mosaic with other artistic techniques.
The workshop offers an introduction to mosaic art. After a brief introduction to the craft, you’ll watch a demonstration on material cutting and base preparation, guided by a professional instructor.
The mosaic you’ll create will be a reproduction of a Roman or Byzantine motif, using authentic and precious materials such as marble sourced from across Europe and glass paste produced in Venetian kilns.
Together, we will create a personalized mosaic panel, from choosing the design and materials to preparing the base.
At the time of booking, you can choose from three different sizes: 10x10 cm, 16x16 cm, or 20x20 cm.

Directions: The workshop, located in the heart of the historic center, across from Kobra’s Dante mural, is about a 10-minute walk from both the Train Station and the Tourist Information Office at Piazza San Francesco.
Duration:
- Approximately 2 hours: 10x10 cm format- Approximately 4 hours: 16x16 cm format
- 6 to 8 hours: 20x20 cm format

Booking is not automatic: you will receive a confirmation email shortly after your request.
Participation with Pets
Pets are welcome, as long as you notify us in advance when booking.
Please note that the workshop is a working artisan space where marble, glass, and smalti are used daily: there may be small fragments, loose tesserae or dust on the floor, and other participants — including children — may be present.
We rely on the owner's sense of responsibility to assess whether their pet is comfortable and safe in such an environment and able to stay throughout the activity.
Feel free to bring a blanket, mat, or small bed so your four-legged companion can relax comfortably during the session.
